I thought it would be nice to welcome you to my little corner of the world.
It’s lovely to meet you. I’m Jo; sun worshipper, stationery obsessed and partial to a delicate Provence Rosé. Founder of Pivotal Moments, Executive Coach, passionate about people and all round social butterfly.
I’m also a self-confessed perfectionist, go-getter and high achiever. I’m the one who worked so hard to be the best she could possibly be, then one day woke up and realised I was trapped in a life with which I was trying to keep up. To the outside world, I had all the signs of perceived success- financial security, a lovely home, further up the career ladder than I had imagined possible and a busy social life with wonderful friends. I also had absolutely no confidence, self-appreciation, headspace or balance in my life. I was exhausted. I was chasing the dream. Something was missing.
Slowly but surely I started thinking “There’s got to be more to life than this”. That moment (or series of moments) was my turning point- my own personal realisation that I needed to connect with me again. My Pivotal Moments, if you will.
I needed to understand what really makes me tick, what my priorities truly are and what happiness means to me. I needed to break free from the mould of “should”, from trying to fit in and say the right thing, release myself from my own self-imposed limitations and start being true to myself again. I needed to get my heels on, untether myself from my laptop, release myself from the trappings of the life I’d built and live life in a more full and inspiring way, with a balance that works for me. Oh, and have a bloody good laugh along the way.
Through much soul searching and working with an incredible coach, I realised I dreamed of working for myself, working with amazing, inspiring people and helping others. I realised my strengths lie in building rapport and creating a personal connection with others, in open listening and in cutting through the noise and complexity to find clarity.
And here I am- an EMCC accredited Executive Coach, a member of the ILM and building on a back catalogue of 15 years’ commercial experience in four major multinational organisations. I’m ready to help you in your quest to find what you’re looking for.
